That doesn't mean it can't happen. The Saints (4-7) had been on a seven-game skid when Rizzi, the club's special teams coordinator, was promoted. They've since won two straight, and as the club entered its Week 12 bye, prominent players were already discussing their desire to continue improving Rizzi's resume. “He’s definitely had an impact on our football team,” quarterback Derek Carr said after New Orleans' 35-14 victory over Cleveland last weekend. “We want to keep winning so that maybe he gets a chance to be the coach here for a long time. “That’s what we want as players,” Carr continued. "Hopefully, we can continue to have success, keep winning and give him that opportunity.” Before the Saints' demoralizing defeat at Carolina precipitated the firing of third-year coach Dennis Allen , Rizzi had never been a head coach at the NFL or major college level. The north New Jersey native and former Rhode Island tight end got his first head coaching job at Division II New Haven in 1999. He also coached his alma mater in 2008 before moving to the NFL with Miami in 2009 as a special teams assistant. By 2010, he was the Dolphins' special teams coordinator and added the title of associate head coach in 2017 before ex-Saints coach Sean Payton lured him to New Orleans in 2019. A common thread shared by Payton and Rizzi is that both worked under Bill Parcells. Parcells — known best for winning two Super Bowls as coach of the New York Giants — was coaching the Dallas Cowboys when Payton was his offensive coordinator. Rizzi, who grew up a Giants fan during the Parcells era, got to know his childhood idol during his first couple years in Miami, where Parcells executive vice president of football operations. Since his promotion, Rizzi has spoken to both Payton and Parcells. And he has begun to employ motivational techniques reminiscent of Payton, who left New Orleans in 2022 as the franchise leader in wins (152 in the regular season and nine in the postseason — including New Orleans' lone Super Bowl triumph). Payton as a big believer of symbolic imagery and motivational props, from baseball bats distributed before contests that were expected to be especially physical to gas cans left in the lockers of aging veterans whose performance was key to the club's success. Rizzi, who describes himself as a “blue collar” guy, has his own spin on such things. He began his tenure by asking players to accept individual responsibility for the metaphorical hole the team had dug itself and asked them all to embrace the idea of filling it up — one shovelful at a time. He even has brought a shovel — as well as a hammer, tape measure, level and other construction tools — to team meetings to help make his points. Saints tight end Taysom Hill, who also plays on special teams, has gotten to know Rizzi well during a half-decade of working together. Hill doesn't sound surprised to see Rizzi's combination of work ethic, enthusiasm and personal touch resonating across the entire team now. He also made a lot of changes , from weekly schedule adjustments to reconfiguring players' lockers by position. “He has a really good pulse on what we need collectively as a team to get ready for a football game," said Hill, who scored three touchdowns and accounted for 248 yards as a runner, receiver, passer and returner against Cleveland. “Guys have responded to that.” Because Rizzi's first victory came over the first-place Atlanta Falcons , and because the Falcons lost again last week, the Saints now trail Atlanta by just two games with six to play. Suddenly, the idea of the Saints playing meaningful football down the stretch is not so far-fetched. “We’re starting to get our swag back, and that makes me happy,” Rizzi said. ”We’re going to have some downtime now to kind of press the reset button again and see if we can make a push here." When the Saints return to action at home against the Los Angeles Rams on Dec 1, they'll do so with a level of momentum and positivity that seemed to steadily drain out of the club between their first loss of the season in Week 3 through the six straight setbacks that followed. While Saints players have tended to blame themselves for Allen's demise, they've been quick to credit Rizzi for the turnaround. “He’s pointed us and steered the ship in the right direction,” Carr said. “Hopefully, we can just keep executing at a high level for him, because we love him.” AP NFL: https://apnews.com/hub/nflBaker Mayfield mocks Tommy DeVito's celebration as the Bucs embarrass the Giants 30-7

Nokia Corporation: Repurchase of own shares on 12.12.2024Photo Credit: One Thousand Group In yet another testament to Miami’s meteoric rise as a hub of luxury, innovation, and culture, One Thousand Group has unveiled its latest development, Tower 36. With the recent $53 million acquisition of a 1.6-acre site in East Edgewater, the project signals a bold step forward not just for the developers but for Miami itself. Tower 36, which is set to redefine the skyline, will be the Group’s third tower in East Edgewater and its fifth major contribution to Downtown Miami. A Strategic Location for a Transformative Vision Perched at the nexus of East Edgewater and Miami’s Design District, the newly acquired site spans 3601 Biscayne Boulevard, 345 NE 36th Street, and 409 NE 36th Street. This prime location connects some of Miami’s most vibrant neighborhoods: Midtown, Wynwood, Downtown, and Miami Beach. Its seamless connectivity positions the project as a gateway to the city’s cultural and economic epicenters. Tower 36 will be far more than a high-rise; it will embody the ethos of One Thousand Group’s development philosophy. Designed by the internationally acclaimed KPF Architects, the project promises to deliver a mixed-use urban oasis. Branded residences, retail and commercial spaces, a private members’ club, and an array of culinary and wellness amenities will converge to create a lifestyle-focused destination. To top it all off, the signature rooftop helipad and heli-lounge, reminiscent of the Group’s iconic One Thousand Museum, will crown the tower. A Visionary Team Shaping the Future “This marks an exciting new chapter for Miami’s Edgewater neighborhood,” said Kevin Venger, co-founder of One Thousand Group. Having witnessed Edgewater’s evolution since 2005, Venger and his team are uniquely positioned to continue its transformation into a premier urban locale. The development’s proximity to the Design District’s culinary and retail scene, coupled with walkable green spaces, underscores its strategic appeal. Michael Konig, also a co-founder, emphasized the project’s significance: “Tower 36 represents a pivotal step in Edgewater’s emergence as one of Miami’s most sought-after neighborhoods.” With unmatched visibility and connectivity, the project aims to set a new benchmark for mixed-use living in Miami. The architectural vision, helmed by KPF’s Robert Whitlock and Lloyd Sigal, integrates sustainable design, cutting-edge technology, and urban walkability. By embracing a wellness-centered approach and incorporating transient living options, Tower 36 reflects both global trends and Miami’s local vibrancy. A Legacy of Excellence The One Thousand Group’s reputation precedes it. From the ultra-luxurious One Thousand Museum to the under-construction Villa Miami, the team has consistently delivered projects that challenge conventions and push boundaries. With over $8 billion in delivered value, nearly 20,000 residential units, and over 10 million square feet of developed space, the Group’s impact on Miami’s urban landscape is undeniable. “Our focus is on creating unique and innovative buildings that not only exemplify design excellence but also embrace sustainability and cutting-edge technology,” noted Louis Birdman, another co-founder of One Thousand Group. Tower 36’s design underscores this commitment to innovation and quality. A Bright Future for Miami As Miami’s real estate market continues to thrive, projects like Tower 36 underscore the city’s global allure. By fusing architectural brilliance with urban connectivity, One Thousand Group is not just building towers—it’s shaping communities and redefining what it means to live and thrive in Miami.

Editors have highlightedthe following attributes while ensuring the content's credibility: fact-checked trusted source proofread by University of Oslo Is TikTok ruining today's youth? Not at all, according to a study led by Emilie Owens, researcher at the University of Oslo. The study is published in the journal International Research in Children's Literature . How does the social media platform TikTok affect teenagers' behavior? And how does it shape their lives? These are the questions Emilie Owens seeks to answer in her doctoral thesis . "My goal has been to get to know teenagers and their phones. I wanted to be in the room with them," says Owens, who is a doctoral research fellow in media studies at the University of Oslo. Her curiosity is a reaction to the negative attitude many adults have towards TikTok, she explains. "I too am critical of the commercial aspects of the platform. But I try to see it from another perspective as well. Teenagers in my research say that TikTok makes them happy and provides comfort. They also see it as a social activity." No significant gender differences Over a seven-month period, Owens visited a class at an international high school in Oslo. She did her best to make sure the students could relax and go about their normal teenage lives during her visits. Sometimes she assigned tasks—such as finding images on TikTok or creating their own to share. She did not just want to talk to the teenagers; she wanted to see them in action. "I thought I would see gender differences in the way boys and girls use TikTok. That was true to some extent, but not as much as I had thought," she says. A small subgroup of boys engaged more with sarcastic, political, and controversial topics, while the majority of the class mostly watched funny memes, quirky content, or educational content. Russian women explaining math "I was surprised by how much they said they learned from TikTok. Some even felt it was easier to understand people on TikTok than their own teachers," Owens says. A 16-year-old girl put it this way, "All of these controversies going on? There's always someone explaining it there. Or I have actually seen Russian ladies, like, describe math to me, and I understand it." A 17-year-old boy thought that the best part about TikTok is the short videos: "The best thing with TikTok is: because the videos are short, they just go straight to the point without any explanation. So you just get the main info and things, which is better for me, at least." A lens through which to see the world The teenagers also discussed various ways in which they use TikTok. Sometimes they watch while waiting for the bus or for dinner to heat up. Other times, they use it together with others—looking at each other's phones and sharing videos with one another. "In such cases, TikTok becomes a social focal point, a kind of lens through which they can see the world together," says Owens. Some also found it challenging to communicate with people who do not use TikTok. "I think TikTok can be a great way to bridge divides, such as in an international class with students from different countries. It provides common reference points," Owens explains. Eye strain after 12 hours A few mentioned that they did not like TikTok and preferred using YouTube, as they felt they learned more from it. Others said that they delete TikTok for three to four weeks when they have a lot of schoolwork. "One person said that after twelve hours, your eyes get sore. I'm not sure if she actually used it for that long, but it gives an idea of how it feels. Teenagers are well aware that this isn't good when it happens, and they don't like it." The teenagers felt that TikTok could be both good and bad for them. This also applied to the content. "If you follow the... I won't say the right type of people, but if you follow a certain type of people, it can be motivating. But if you follow a certain group of people, it can be very demotivating as well," said a 16-year-old boy. The word "brain rot" was also something the teenagers used to jokingly explain that the content on TikTok can be so silly that it makes your brain go rotten. As a term, it is not meant to be taken literally, writes Owens in a piece on psyche.co about TikTok and "brain rot." Growing up in a customized world One day, today's teenagers will become adults. What will it have meant for them to have had TikTok when they were young? This is something Owens has asked herself. "It certainly gives them a more customized world. They learn to expect things to be the way they want them, and if they don't like something, they can watch something else instead. I don't know what this means yet, but I think it could be interesting to explore the consequences." In terms of the parents, Owens points to another researcher at the University of Oslo, Professor Elisabeth Staksrud, who has conducted a lot of research on the parents of today's youth. Staksrud recommends that they get involved in their teenagers' lives. "It's probably wise to be realistic. Young people use social media now, and it's an important part of their lives. Approach it as you would any other issue in a teenager 's life. Ask them what's happening and show that you care," advises Emilie Owens. It has raised over $8.7 million and dominates the highly volatile crypto market with consistent profits. Thus, it is the best way to earn a huge ROI in this bull cycle. Pepe Surges Over 100%, Targets More Gains Amid Bullish Market Trends Pepe gained momentum in the meme coin space, trading at nearly $0.0000201. In the past 30 days, the PEPE price has gained over 100%, reaching a market cap of over $8.4 billion. The recent growth was fueled by prominent exchange listings on Robinhood and Coinbase, helping attract many retail and institutional investors. Increased whale activity also shows that PEPE’s appeal is growing, with massive purchases and transfers increasing in frequency. In that context, 86% of PEPE holdings are now in the profitable zone. Technical analysis in the PEPE market supports increased optimism, with patterns like Cup and Handle and Falling Wedge pointing to possible price gains, targeting $0.0000282 in this bull market. On the market front, ADA is now in a consolidation phase, remaining steady near the $1 price level. After it surged from the $0.88 area, ADA is now trading above $0.95. Furthermore, ADA is above the 100-hour simple moving average, which points to a strong uptrend. A huge resistance has formed at $1.02, with a bearish trend line seen on the market charts. Rising above the $1.05 resistance could open the way for more gains in the coming weeks. This market development highlights Cardano’s potential growth in market performance and technology. ADA was trading at $0.99 on November 28, 2024, up 25.63% in the past week. Analysts say ADA will rise to $1.09 in December.
